I love this place. It feels so great to eat here, open air in the summer, lanterns over head, people walking by, cash only, vegan options, huge plates. And the noodles are going to be soooo good. Service is fast. Tofu is wonderful. Clearly marked vegetarian/vegan options. First time I went and got the pan fried noddles with fried tofu and CLEARED my plate. Second time I tried some appetizers: the tofu scallion and steamed vegetable dumplings. Both great.

Great hand-pulled noodles and fried rice in different sizes paired with protein of your choice. Noodles in thin, small wide flat, large wide flat, rice noodles, etc. Perfect place to stop and get an authentic chinese noodle experience on the run. Nothing fancy about this place, just straight authentic chinese noodles and rice in the heart of Chinatown. Its fast service and doesnt disappoint. Ive been here 2 times and Ive enjoyed it both times. Also tried the fried dumplings, not bad but not the best. Would return anyway when I want noodles.

The service was quick and efficient. Plenty of outdoor seating and it wasn’t too loud so we were able to talk and hear each other. I got the roast duck noodles and upgraded to the knife cut noodles (+ $1). The food came out hot and was very tasty! I likely wouldn’t get the roast duck again as it was mostly bone and not very much meat. But everything else was perfect! I would recommend upgrading the noodles to the knife-cut noodles.

Noodles are fresh but soup was thin and beef stew was tough. We ordered beef stew HP noodles, combo beef with knife cut noodles, pan fried dumplings and pork soup dumplings. Hard pass on the dumplings. Pan fried ones were greasy and not crispy. Soup ones were small and the skin was chewy and thick; they’re not fresh and are frozen so take 20 mins. Indoor seating is cramped with a few tables and old. Outside seating is long tables so you might have to share. Wait staff is there to serve you and that’s it. Outside staff not friendly. They just dumped the fried dumplings on the tables in a jumbled mess as you can see in the pic.

Despite clearly ordering a vegetarian dish, the food that was served to us contained meat, possibly beef. For me, serving meat in a vegetarian order shows a serious lack of attention to detail and raises concerns about how carefully orders are handled in the kitchen. Because of this, I would not recommend this place to anyone with dietary requirements, including vegans, halal, or kosher diners. If you do visit, be extremely cautious and double-check your order before eating. Additionally, we were not informed about unavailable items until after we were seated and had already spent a considerable amount of time deciding and placing our order, which added to the frustration. The only positive was the outdoor seating, it has an authentic ambiance that feels like a traditional Chinese setting, which is why I’m giving an extra star for the atmosphere. Oh but avoid their restrooms, very poorly managed.
